As if being a brand new mom wasn’t enough, Nicole Richie is adding jewelry designer to her resume! The star tells PEOPLE, “It’s all costume jewelry. I like to play with jewelry and mix and match.” Produced with the company Mouawad (who also does Heidi Klum’s fine jewelry collection), Richie is working with “this really talented woman named Shelley Gibbs. She’s an artist and she sketches everything.” And Richie makes sure to keep baby Harlow at the forefront of her priorites while working on the line. She explains to PEOPLE that “everyone’s been really mellow and able to work around my schedule. If I need to go feed the baby, I do it.” And as busy as she is, Richie’s not stopping at jewelry. We can look forward to her infant and children’s wear lines coming out later this year as well — we even hear whispers of a fragrance from Richie in the not-too-distant future. Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson spent Easter weekend together in Miami – and this time, the on-again duo were joined by Hudson’s son, Ryder, for a holiday bike ride.

After getting in some sunbathing, Hudson (accompanied by Ryder on one bike) and Wilson (with another young boy) rode through the busy streets of South Beach on Saturday before stopping for Starbucks on the less-crazy Biscayne Bay side of town. Mother and son even wandered into a drug store and a video store, where they picked up a new movie.

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis has once again decided to bare her soul – and body – to convince women that they will be their most beautiful if they take care of their bodies and age naturally.

The star, whose curves turned heads in such early films as Trading Places and Perfect, will help celebrate her 50th birthday in November by posing gray-haired and topless on the cover of the May-June issue of AARP The Magazine, available March 24.

She made a similar splash in More Magazine in 2002 when she appeared makeup-free and unretouched in a sports bra and briefs, drawing attention at the time to her “fatty little tummy” and other flaws. The point, Curtis tells PEOPLE, is that glam isn’t real, but good health is.

A year and a half ago Curtis learned her cholesterol and blood pressure were too high. To fix it, she dropped 20 pounds by giving up “fattening” foods that most Americans would consider relatively healthy – like crackers, bread and granola, which have white flour and sugar and are surprisingly high in fat. She hopes American women will learn from her example.

Country star and Dancing with the Stars alum Sara Evans, who underwent a very public divorce battle last year, has found love again with beau Jay Barker, a former quarterback at the University of Alabama – and the two now plan to marry, Evans’s rep, Lori Genes, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

“The couple are enjoying their engagement and look forward to their upcoming nuptials,” Genes says. The couple have yet to set a wedding date.

Evans, 37, who has three children with ex Craig Schelske, and Barker, who has four children from his previous marriage, began dating before Thanksgiving last year. Evans’s divorce was finalized in September.

Barker, who led Alabama to a national championship in 1992, hosts a morning radio show in Birmingham. Evans has appeared as an in-studio guest on Barker’s show, The Opening Drive on WJOX, several times and Barker has joined her on some tour dates.

Evans spent the Easter holiday weekend with her family but will resume touring later this week.

The aunt has spoken – and she’s delighted.

“I was so happy when I found out,” Eugenie Aubry, 36, tells PEOPLE about the new baby girl born on Sunday to Halle Berry and Eugenie’s younger brother, Gabriel Aubry.

“It’s been a long time since we’ve had a new baby in the family,” said Eugenie. “It’s very exciting.”

While she has yet to meet her brand new niece, the Canadian resident was thrilled to hear that new mom Halle has been practicing her language skills.

“I’m a Quebecer, and it’s great that she is learning how to speak French,” Eugenie says. “I’m glad that the little one will speak French, too.”

No doubt, the newborn will have plenty of Quebec cousins to practice with, because mom Halle, 41, and dad Gabriel, 32, try to visit Gabriel’s 64-year-old father, Gérard, and eight brothers and sisters as often as possible.

Another rendezvous is just around the corner, according to Aunt Eugenie – who says the Aubry family is planning a welcome party in Montreal for its newest member.

Mariah Carey knows her indisputable talent clashes with her sexed-up image as a “ditz.”

“It’s a dichotomy, I understand,” the 37-year-old Grammy winner tells Allure magazine. “I understand that people think I am a ditzy moron.”

The singer — who was treated for exhaustion in 2001 after a public meltdown — says she still struggles with her confidence.

“I’ve always had really low self-esteem, and I still do,” she says. “What’s weird about that is being onstage, and the love that you get, and the adoration that you feel from your real fans. It’s hard for a partner to compete — just imagine.”

Oscar-winning director Anthony Minghella, who turned such literary works as “The English Patient,” “The Talented Mr. Ripley” and “Cold Mountain” into acclaimed movies, has died. He was 54.

Minghella’s death was confirmed Tuesday by his agent, Judy Daish. No other details were immediately available.”The English Patient,” the 1996 World War II drama, won nine Academy Awards, including best director for Minghella, best picture and best supporting actress for Juliette Binoche.

Based on the celebrated novel by Canadian writer Michael Ondaatje, the movie tells of a burn victim’s tortured recollections of his misdeeds in time of war.

Minghella (pronounced min-GELL’-ah) also was nominated for an Oscar for best screenplay for the movie and for his screenplay for “The Talented Mr. Ripley.”

 Heather Mills: Paul Offered $32 Million

Can anyone stop Heather Mills from talking? The sound of her voice is like chalk going backward on a chalkboard.

Her scene on the steps outside London family court Monday — after winning nearly $48 million from Paul McCartney for four years’ marriage — was the latest low point. She somehow doesn’t understand that this huge amount of money is not owed her. She’s extorted it.

McCartney, she announced in a press conference video that you can find on the Internet, offered her about $32 million to get her out of his hair. That wasn’t enough. Mills had to have more. Her shrill pronouncements have become tedious and are simply further signs of her instability.

Gary Busey apologized for his misguided attempt to garner attention by embracing Jennifer Garner at last month’s Oscars.

During a live E! pre-show broadcast, Busey repeatedly interrupted while Ryan Seacrest was interviewing Laura Linney and Garner. At one point, Busey embraced Garner, who looked annoyed.

“I meant no disrespect to Ms. Jennifer Garner when I met her at the Oscars and apologize if I made her uncomfortable,” the 63-year-old actor said in a statement e-mailed Monday by a publicist for his attorney, Vicki Roberts.

By the time he realized the actresses were in the middle of an interview Busey said he tried to step back but “suddenly Ryan introduced her to me.”

Mel Gibson and Britney Spears‘s dinner over the weekend wasn’t their first meeting.

The pair and their families have met a number of times since Spears checked out from her second hospitalization last month, a source tells PEOPLE.

“Mel and his wife Robin clearly saw a woman in crisis and wanted to extend themselves in any way possible,” the source says.

“There’s just a handful of people in the world who understand the kind of intense attention that Britney goes through, and how to raise a family with some semblance of privacy and how to keep one’s family intact and out of the limelight,” the source adds.

“There are no expectations, there is no agenda. It’s simply an act of human kindness – one neighbor reaching out to the other.”

Gibson and Spears used to be neighbors when the singer previously lived in Malibu.
